BidenBot

A fork of TruthBot to bridge Mastodon --> Matrix

Usage

BidenBot is configured through environment variables:

  • TRUTH_DOMAIN - the mastodon backend to interface with
  • TRUTH_PASSWORD - password of the Truth Social account
  • TRUTH_TARGET_USER - mastodon target username to pull posts from
  • TRUTH_TARGET_SHORT - short name for the target user (used for redis key)
  • MATRIX_HOMESERVER - matrix homeserver URL
  • MATRIX_USER_ID - matrix user ID for the bot
  • MATRIX_DEVICE_ID - matrix device ID for the bot
  • MATRIX_OWNER_ID - matrix user ID of the bot owner
  • MATRIX_CHANNEL_ID - matrix channel ID to post to
  • BOT_ACCESS_TOKEN - access token for the bot
  • REDIS_HOST - redis server hostname
  • REDIS_PASSWORD - redis server password
